Human Trafficking Myths That Need to Be Busted
In 2013, I packed my bags for Bangkok, propelled by the opportunity to work on a regional human trafficking prevention campaign but with hazy notions about the issue. Women and children, right? Kidnapped and locked up in dark rooms for forced sex work?
According to the 2017 Global Estimates of Modern Slavery, about 24.9 million people are in situations of forced labour, particularly in domestic work, construction, manufacturing, agriculture and fishing. By comparison, an estimated 3.8 million adults are victims of forced sexual exploitation and one million children are victims of commercial sexual exploitation.

The second spot is taken by the education sector. All in all, healthcare and education are two major themes undertaken by non-profit organizations.

The main difference between non-profit and profit organizations is that profit organizations core obligation is to gross income and reallocate assessable wealth to the workforce as well as the shareholders while non-profit organizations core obligation is to provide self-beneficial and self preservation programs and services.

The final view is that in the fields where the state has already taken a fundamental role, it succeeds in providing for communities and is even more effective than NPOs in affording services. Therefore, in regard to the increasing rates of poverty, unemployment, and numbers of dependent people relying on aid and relief programs, presence of non-profit organizations throughout the United States has grown accordingly to meet the needs of the lower classes. A nonprofit organization commonly performs some type of public or community benefit.
